Change Management Consulting and Talent Management Consulting photo

Talent Management Consulting

Change Management Consulting

Our consulting practice has two principal areas of focus: change management and talent management.

We have worked for many years on a variety of organizational change efforts in a variety of industries including energy, telecommunications, high tech, financial services and health care. Whether the project is an ERP systems implementation or a cultural change effort, getting an organization to change its direction or focus is never simple or easy. We make certain that everybody has some fun but there is always a lot of heavy lifting.

Change Management

The change management methodology provides the design for the creation of a map to guide the change process. Over time we have found that the discipline of Appreciative Inquiry, used as a tool to navigate the map, to be most helpful in making the heavy lifting easier. Focusing on strengths, assets and successes as a starting point makes crossing the map easier. The discipline of Appreciative Inquiry is instrumental to our success and is used as the key tool of choice in all our current consulting projects.

Talent Management

Our talent management work has developed at the intersection of our coaching and consulting work. We have learned over time just how important it is for our clients to get the right people in the right jobs and how hard that can be. We have also learned that there is value in helping businesses focus on what they do instead of paying attention to employee issues.

At this point in time the discipline of talent management has become more significant and compelling due to the aging of the workforce in certain industries and the paucity of people with essential technical skills in key emerging industries and technologies. Our talent management work has developed to fill the need to think strategically, link HR strategy and workforce planning to business strategy and then deliver in a world that requires the skillful integration of a variety of skills. These include strategic thinking in an environment with an array of new business models, resource analysis, integration of HR strategy with business strategy and human performance and development. The task requires both art and science and in developing our approach we have uncovered a way to support our clients in thinking and delivering effectively into uncharted territory and more effectively in their current world of managing talent.
