Our Approach To Coaching

 Executive Coaching

Resources in Action Coaching provides a unique and impactful approach to coaching business executives towards increased performance, results and development. The approach is based on three core principles:

1) Improvements in the client?s increased leadership competence is directly linked to business performance.

2) The coaching approach is driven by right action taken by the client driven by what is needed based on internal, external, financial and developmental concerns. Right action decisions include integrating the right way, at the right time, with the right people, for the right reasons with the right things to produce the right results for that individual.

3) Focusing on what?s important for the person being coached drives the coaching.

This unique approach to coaching is based on five core steps:

1) Gather data about the individual that shows his/her learning style, preferences, and impact on others from a variety of perspectives. Some of the assessment tools that we use to gather data include: 360 degree feedback tools, the MBTI2, Harrison, Reiss Desire Profile and/or others depending upon what is needed.

2) Scope of work gathers other data about organizational and business influences that must be considered prior to coaching. Sometimes, at the conclusion to the scope of work, we recommend that coaching is not the best solution to your problems.

3) Active participation of a Sponsor, who models leadership, sets expectations and clarifies progress towards objectives during the process and provides a safe container for improvement activities.

4) Active participation from a network of peers who provide regular, real time feedback.

5) The coaching itself which supports the person being coached by keeping the focus on what?s important, what?s possible and what actions the person being coached needs to take to make necessary improvements. A typical coaching contract lasts for two business quarters.
